Under compression, concrete is strong, but it is susceptible to cracking under bending tensions. Strengthening the structure with 10mm RE-BAR 3m T10 significantly increases its tensile strength.

Re-bars have ribs or indentations along them to give a the concrete something to adhere to creating a better bond and reducing the risk of slippage.
