About us

Our website address, lakerbfs.co.uk, reflects the start of our journey, when we were known as Laker Building and Fencing Supplies. Our mission is the same as it has always been - to be remembered for our service. We also wanted to be known for supplying the best quality timber, which to this day, is stored inside to keep it dry and prevent warping and twisting.

We’ve grown into a traditional builders merchant becoming a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all building supplies, by working with a buying group, which allows us to access fantastic products and brands at the great prices our customers need. We stock a vast range of materials for example, from heavy side, such as aggregates, brick, blocks and timber right through to landscaping supplies, including all the peripherals. If you can’t find on our website, we’ve probably got it instore at one of our branches, Pulborough, Cranleigh or Crawley, and if it’s not instore, we’ll source it for you.

Our Products

Timber

We’ve been known for having good quality dry timber that is ready to go for over a decade and we have the complete range for your project. Our timber is stored under cover, so it won’t twist, warp or rot. It is ready to be used on your project from purchase. Laker is fully stocked with sawn and treated, decorative softwoods and sheet materials. Likewise, if you need something a bit different or special, we will source and deliver them to your site.

Building Materials

We stock the full range of construction materials for any project, whether it’s a refurbishment, extension or complete new build. Such as the aggregates, cement, timber and steel of a foundation to the bricks, blocks, insulation and DPC of the walls, the blocks and beams of the floors, the roofing and drainage, right through to sheeting, plasterboard, insulation and paint for the finishing the job. Laker can support your entire construction project at competitive prices offering exceptional service.

Tools Fixings & Adhesives

The Laker team have worked hard to ensure that we have the right brands of tools, fixings and adhesives available instore and online ready for when you need them. Our range covers all construction requirements in particular filling, sealing and masking, screwing and gluing across timber, concrete and plasterboard and anything else you need. We also keep stock both hand tools, power tools as well as all the accessories.

Garden & Landscaping

Laker Builders Merchant works with gardeners and landscapers throughout Surrey and Sussex and also the neighbouring boroughs of Kent, Hampshire and South London. We have quality professional fencing products available in stock and at great prices. We also have the trellis decking, sleepers, paving, pathways, edging walling, aggregates, soil you need. In addition, all the accessories and peripherals that make getting the job done easy.

Deliveries

Laker offer same day and next day deliveries from our branches in Pulborough, Crawley and Cranleigh. Our fleet of delivery vehicles include 3 crane trucks, also known as HIABs, 3 tippers and a lorry and are driven by an experienced and dedicated team. This means we can deliver large and small quantities to your site or project.

 Where do you deliver?

 We are currently delivering anywhere in West Sussex, Surrey, into Kent, Hampshire and South London. Our standard delivery service is one working day for all items that can be delivered on a 3.5 tonne flatbed, or on Hiab Lorries, the latter require 1-3 working days for bulk bag or heavy deliveries.
